Mortgage institutions
  In finance this normally means Institutions subject to local government regulations pertaining to banking (i.e. which are legally required to submit periodical financial reports to the central banking authorities) and which are wholly or principally engaged in the provisions of loans secured against mortgages. This category includes Building Societies (UK) and Savings and Loans Associations (USA).
